Our online catalog is a useful tool, but remember that we work with over 4,000 manufacturers. They all explain pretty much the same thing, but each may say it differently. First of all, notice that for very nearly all orders, there is a minimum quantity. It may be as few as 12 pieces or 72 or 144 or 500 or 1,000 and on. But there are minimums which must be observed. Second, in the event that sub-minimums might be available (called an "absolute minimum"), there is a "below minimum purchase charge" which may make a sub-minimum purchase not financially worth it. Example, if a minimum unit purchase is 144 and you want 48, the below minimum purchase charge may drive the unit cost up to where you could purchase the stated minimum, 144, for nearly the same price, in some cases, less. Third, most of our ad specialties include a one-color imprint in the price. However, the price seldom includes a charge for the imprinting screen or plate. Sometimes the price DOES include the screen or plate, so that rule is not set in stone. This is a charge from the vendors; for SPECIAL OFFERS, it may be waived. This is one good reason to click the XTRA! button from time to time. Continuing with this thought, if you want MORE than a one-color imprint, there is a screen charge for each color. AND there is usually a running charge for each piece. For pure example, if you were to want a 12 ounce C-handle coffee mug in base white and you see that the price "includes a one-color imprint", you will have to add the screen charge (for pure example) of $40. If you want a three-color imprint, you will have to add two more screens into the bottom line and probably add running charges of (for pure example) 30 cents per mug, per color. Even if that is the case, you total per mug for out example would be a fraction over $2.80, and that is for a mug that YOU have selected with YOUR imprint or message on it in the colors that YOU want. HOWEVER, there are now some companies doing digital imprints, and they do NOT charge more for multiple colors. ASK US. Furthermore, a fairly recent development in full color imprinting -- Digital Imprinting -- allows some vendors to do four-color imprints with a MINIMAL setup charge and NO running charge. This is especially true with some mugs and with some card printing. Oe again, ASK US. Fourth, artwork is very important. We discuss this in the FAQs, [If you click here, now, look at item 3;] but for now, remember these things: Simple straight line copy may be done with NO art charge. Some of our manufacturers do this themselves, but we prefer to do this in-house so we can show you what an imprint will look like. A design which is NOT simple straightline copy should be supplied as "vector" artwork. If you don't understand what that is, don't worry about it. If your logo was created for you, that artist PROBABLY did it in vector software. The artist can email us the file. If you have a design but it is not in vector form, we can create it, but there is an art charge involved. 90% of our work does NOT involve an art charge. Breathe easy. Fifth, shipping charges are never included in any prices; they must be added, and they vary widely. 500 el cheapo stick pens come in a small box; 144 mugs may come in four heavy cases; embroidered polos may be packed 24 or 36 to a case. Shipping is based on weight, size and distance. So until a job is packed and ready to go, we can only estimate shipping. Sixth, there is a lot of loose talk about taxing internet sales. When we sell ANYTHING outside of Arizona, whether it is sold entirely over the net or by telephone, there is no sales tax. UNLESS (a- HA) the item happened to be manufactured and shipped to you from within the state where you live. Even with our tax certificate, that sale may be taxed. On the other hand, anything we sell which is shipped to an address within the state (Arizona, our nexus) must have a sales tax added. We enumerate shipping separately, so it is NEVER taxed. You can simply close this screen to get back to the home page. I hope this helps you. |
